Vector Engineers is proud to announce that Joel Hartman, SE, has joined the TIA Engineering Committee TR-14, a distinguished group responsible for developing and maintaining crucial industry standards in telecommunications infrastructure.
The TIA Engineering Committee TR-14 oversees several critical standards, including the ANSI/TIA-222 Standard for antenna supporting structures, the ANSI/TIA-322 Standard for installation and maintenance criteria, and the TIA-5053 Standard for mounting system classification. This all-volunteer committee brings together industry experts including consultants, engineers, fabricators, constructors, inspectors, carriers, and tower owners to continuously improve and update these essential standards.
Hartman brings over a decade of specialized experience to the committee, having worked as a structural engineer in the telecommunications industry since 2011. His extensive background working with site-acquisition and A&E firms provides valuable insight into the various interests involved in site development and engineering documentation. As a licensed Structural Engineer (SE), Hartman’s building engineering knowledge complements his telecommunications expertise.
Within the committee, Hartman has joined two ad-hoc task groups focusing on ‘mounts’ and ‘rooftop structures.’ His participation is supported by Vector Engineers’ comprehensive coverage of engineering services across all 50 states, Canada, and Puerto Rico, bringing a broad perspective on jurisdictional requirements and design standards.
“We hope to gain more insight into industry developments and help set the standard for good engineering practice within the telecom industry,” says Hartman. “Participation in the committee will help us stay ahead of the curve, assist clients with solutions that align with the latest industry standards, and ensure our designs are optimized for all stakeholders.”
This association reinforces Vector Engineers’ commitment to industry leadership and excellence in telecommunications infrastructure engineering.
