How do you add a new rooftop telecommunications site without making it look like an obvious addition to the building?

The Verizon Binford project included four sectors of antennas housed within three new RF-friendly concealment structures designed to match the existing building exterior.

Vector Engineers served as engineer of record and structural engineer for the site. Our work included the new rooftop structures, analysis of the existing building, and structural design associated with the ground-level equipment compound.

The ground equipment included new cabinets and a generator within a CMU screen wall compound supported by reinforced concrete footings.

This project was a coordinated effort between several specialized teams:

• Capital Design Services managed site acquisition, zoning and permitting, and construction drawings.
• Steelhead managed fabrication of the steel platforms and FRP framing.
• SCI provided the RF-transparent panels incorporated into the concealment structures.
• Vector Engineers provided structural engineering and engineer-of-record services.
