Vector Team Spotlight – Arturo Quinones
From helping his father with home renovations to designing intricate steel connections for custom homes, Project Manager Arturo Quinones has transformed his early passion for building into a flourishing engineering career. Based in our Arlington office, Arturo joined Vector Engineers in 2024, bringing expertise in storefront and stair steel connection design.
Arturo’s journey into structural engineering began in his hometown of Arlington, Texas, where he spent his youth working alongside his father on various home remodeling projects. “From there I wanted to learn more about how structures are designed and fell in love with structural engineering,” he recalls. This hands-on experience laid the foundation for his academic pursuits at The University of Texas at Arlington, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and is currently working toward his master’s degree in the same field.
Among his most notable achievements at Vector is his work on interior spiral staircases for custom homes in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this project, Arturo played a crucial role in ensuring the integrity of all steel connections, including critical anchorage points. His attention to detail and technical expertise have been instrumental in creating safe, elegant structural solutions that seamlessly blend form and function.
When he’s not designing complex steel connections or pursuing his graduate studies, Arturo dedicates his time to his family, including his wife and three daughters. His active lifestyle extends beyond the office, where he enjoys playing basketball and football. True to his roots, he continues to channel his passion for construction through various remodeling projects around his own home.
Through his work at Vector Engineers, Arturo exemplifies the company’s commitment to technical excellence and practical solutions. His ongoing pursuit of advanced education, combined with his hands-on experience and dedication to family, brings a well-rounded perspective to every project he undertakes.
